Strategic Asia Briefing on Indonesia’s Political and Economic Condition

For Welcoming the Visit of College of Defense Management, India

College of Defense Visit to SA1

The group from the College of Defence Management, India’s leading centre of excellence on all management-related concerns of India’s armed forces, visited the Strategic Asia Office on Friday, November 20th, 2009 for a Briefing on Indonesia’s Current Political and Economic Condition, organized by the India Embassy to Indonesia and Strategic Asia.

The Directors of Strategic Asia, Mr. Satish Mishra and Mr. Agus Widjojo moderated this briefing, followed with discussion on the impact of political reform to Indonesia’s state institutions, future of Indonesian democracy, current condition of military relations with politics, the impact of 2009 global crisis to Indonesia, and the Indonesian economic policy.

In the end of the briefing, the College of Defence Management presented the token of appreciation to Mr. Satish Mishra and Mr. Agus Widjojo for facilitating the discussion.
